Our Menus
We offer a tasting menu (£265) for both lunch and dinner. We also feature a seasonal lunch menu (£125) available Wednesday to Friday during our peak growing season (April - October) and Fridays only the rest of the year (November - April). This shorter, lighter option provides an additional choice for midweek dining.
Please inform us of any dietary requirements at the time of booking.
All prices include VAT and exclude a discretionary 10% service charge. Prices may change without notice.

For NYE, Our Rooms will be bookable for a two-day package arriving Tuesday, 30th December and departing Thursday, 1st January.
Rooms
We have 16 bedrooms and suites located around the village of Cartmel, each designed in its own unique style while retaining references to the historic surroundings.
If you book a room from Tuesday to Saturday, we automatically guarantee a table at L'Enclume and breakfast at our sister restaurant Rogan & Co. The room rate does not include the cost of dinner at L’Enclume. We have a limited number of rooms available each month. To book a room, please book online.
Our Rooms are located in different areas of the village and are all a short walk to the restaurants. There are four different room categories to choose from. Check in is from 3pm. Check out at 11am.
OUR FARM & SUSTAINABILITY
Our Farm is set in the Cartmel Valley, only a mile or so from the village itself. We use year-round growing methods at the farm, which allow us the flexibility and productivity to ensure that our restaurant menus continue to evolve with every season.
By growing ourselves, we can better understand and control the ingredients we use. We aim to grow near-perfect produce naturally and sustainably.
Our growers and chefs work side-by-side to create the ingredients used in all our restaurants. Our farm is an extension of our kitchens, applying the same ethos, drive and attention to detail.
Our Farm tours are available on request throughout the spring and summer months at 11am Tuesday - Saturday and with limited availability (we only take eight guests per tour). Please let us know if you would like to book a tour when you reserve your table with us.
CANCELLATION POLICY
All guests are required to provide credit card details to secure the reservation. Cancellation of your reservation less than 7 days before your visit will incur a charge of £265 per person for lunch and dinner at L’Enclume and Aulis Cartmel.
For room reservations with dinner or lunch, we offer free cancellation or modification of your booking until noon, 14 days before your visit. Cancellation or modification of your reservation until noon less than 14 days before your visit will incur the full rate of the package or room and dinner. We will endeavour to re-sell your room and table to another party and if successful a full refund will be given.
DIRECTIONS AND TRAVEL FROM WITHIN THE UK
The nearest train stations are Grange-over-Sands or Oxenholme in The Lake District. Trains from London take around three and a half hours and run several times a day from Euston Station. We recommend booking a taxi from the station to Cartmel in advance.
L'Enclume does not have designated parking; however, there is parking at the Cartmel public car park on the edge of the village. Please follow the postal code LA11 6QB. Parking tickets are available to purchase from the parking meters in the car park.
INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL
The nearest airport is Manchester Airport. Trains from Manchester Airport take around two hours to Oxenholme or Grange-over-Sands.
DRESS CODE
There is no dress code at L’Enclume or Aulis Cartmel. Diners are encouraged to wear whatever makes them feel the most comfortable.
CHILDREN POLICY
L’Enclume accepts children over the age of 12 at lunchtime and in the evening. There is no children’s menu available at L’Enclume or Aulis Cartmel.

Academy by Simon Rogan
We are incredibly proud to announce the Academy by Simon Rogan, a new culinary course in collaboration with Kendal College. The cutting-edge learning package has been designed to equip participants with extraordinary skills and provide a strong foothold in the hospitality industry, and develop a career in one of the UK’s leading restaurant groups.
The paid course will run for 15 months, culminating in a fully expensed week-long stagiaire at Roganic Hong Kong - with all flights and hotel accommodation paid for!

Our Team
Table Size
Our tables are available for up to a maximum of six guests, with a limit of one booking per service. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate large groups and parties and are not able to split larger groups across multiple tables.
Our Chef's Table
Adjacent to the restaurant, Aulis Cartmel provides a ‘behind the scenes’ dining experience.
